It’s not new knowledge that disordered eating is a huge problem in the Instagram and fitness world. ‘Banned’ or ‘unclean’ foods are associated with shame and can often make people feel as if they don’t deserve to reward themselves with pizza or a glass of wine at the end of a long week. Realistically, if you are eating a balance of protein, carbs and healthy fats, there’s nothing wrong with the odd treat. When you’re properly fuelled, you’re far more likely to get more from your workouts.
